Softball and Baseball Concession |
If you or someone you know would like to grill hamburgers or make a freezer of homemade ice cream for one of the home softball or baseball games to sell in the concession, please let me know. We could really use some help in this area and any time that you could donate would be greatly appreciated. Our next softball home game will be Tuesday, March 18 at 4:30pm. Dr. Pepper has donated the use of a vending trailer for the entire softball and baseball home season. This will make life much more pleasant for all of us. If you or your parents can help work the concession stand, please let me know. We are really short-handed with the concession this season.
Thanks Dr. Pepper!

Keep Hubbard 'Growing'... Comunity Service Project |
Hubbard High School would like to give back to the citizens who have put so much into our community over the years. The Junior Class and National Honor Society have joined forces to offer Hubbard senior citizens an opportunity to have a small spring vegetable or flower garden in their yard if they would like. We will till, row, and plant to request. We will not accept any monetary payment for this service, but if there are any community members that would enjoy donating seeds or plants to the project, we would be glad to accept those. If you know of any senior citizens that would be interested, please have them call Vicki Fletcher at (254) 744-4755 to set up a time for us come.
Thanks for your continued support of all of our activities.
Juniors and NHS members -
If you would like to help with this project, please fill out the Community Service release in the left-hand menu and return to Fletcher asap. We already have some gardens lined up. We need your help. This is a completely voluntary project.
Students that have already volunteered to donate their time are: Ivett Hernandez, Jennifer Buffin, Paola Riera, Kaaron Cornish, Brittany and Chris Button, and Sara and Mika Fletcher.
Garden plots that we have finished or are working on include: Ms. Evelyn Moore.
Thank you guys for offering your time and energy to 'Keep Hubbard Growing'. | | |

Girls Night In |
Girls Night In was held on Monday, Feb. 11 at 7 in the cafeteria (see pics in left-hand menu). The girls made it lots of fun. They brought dresses, snacks, drinks, makeup samples, hair stuff, karaoke cds,and all kinds of things. Amanda Boatwright volunteered her time and did Mary Kay makeovers for the girls. Also, Barbara Minze donated a month's tanning membership as a door prize. Cathy Chapman, Michelle DuBay, Beth Darden, and Vicki Weatherby brought door prizes and food for the girls as well. Paola's mom, Mabel Lane, brought a lot of energy to the evening. She taught several of the girls the Salsa. Ms. Schronk, as usual, contributed her time and energy to make things run like clockwork. Along with the tanning, there were door prizes for a hair job, a nail job, and an eyebrow job at Melissa Leather's Chop Shop, and a Claire's gift card. The bonus for the night was an impromptu birthday celebration for Jessica Chapman (cake supplied by the Davidsons). Happy birthday, Jessica.
We would like to thank each of you that loaned a dress and that helped to make the event so fun for the girls.
